Just another Day in Paradise!

March has turned out to be a beautiful month here in California.  We have been able to get alot of work done in the garden.  Here is a pic of Dane and Papa picking carrots.  Dane isn't a big carrot eater but if he can pull it out of the ground he is going to eat it.  So far in the garden we have onions, artichokes, carrots and garlic planted.  This next week we are hoping to plant alot of things.  We try and work outside at least 2 days a week.  Dane is a big helper.  Right now he likes to look for new artichokes coming up.

We took a short trip up to Monterey to check out the Aquarium.  We knew Dane would love it.  We went with Dane's best buddy Gunnar and his family.
Two two year olds in an aquarium could be a little tricky but they had so much fun.  By the end all us parents were exhausted!  Dane has been working with Papa to learn all about marine life.  He was really good at pointing things out to us.

We got the kite out the other day to fly it around.  Eric worked really hard but we had a hard time keeping it in the air.  We just didn't have enough wind.

My brother is working right now in Mexico.  He asked Eric to drive his truck around for him while he is gone.  What he didn't tell Eric is that it has a faulty fuel gauge and runs out of diesel at a quarter tank.  I got a panicked call from Eric that he was broken down on the side of the 41.  I brought diesel to him but when you run out of diesel you usually have to have a mechanic fix it.  After a tow from AAA and $40 dollars later Eric was back on the road!

We are working on potty training Dane.  If he has a good book he will hang out there for awhile.

Snack time with Gunnar.  These two are so funny together.  We love having Gunnar over to play.

I have 100% changed my diet.  I have cut out Sugar, Dairy and meat.  It has been interesting.  I am doing this in the hopes of getting pregnant but honestly it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be.  I have friends that pass along great recipes like this quinoa and black bean chili.  It is so yummy.
We are really hoping to add to our family.  My whole motto for this new way of life is "don't give up on what you want most for what you want right now." I am determined to do everything I can!
