January Fun

We started out the month with Eric's birthday.  I asked Dane what kind of cake we should make for Dad's birthday and he came up with a candy cake.  I made this cake before for Eric (he does love candy) and it was a real hit.

 I try to take a picture of Dane every day when he first falls asleep.  This kid loves reading books and I couldn't resist taking a picture of him with a book wide open!

 We try and find fun hikes to do on the weekend.  This one was really close and it was easy for Dane to walk.

 Here is Dane and his best bud Gunnar.  These two have so much fun together.

 I found this pic of Dane and Eric sledding from when we were in Idaho.  Dane loved sledding (what kid wouldn't love it).  We on the other hand were beat.  It was not easy dragging dead weight up the hill!

 A few days into January we had a few amazing warm days.  We of course headed to the beach!  I love California!!

 Here is Dane and his favorite chicken Henny Penny.  She seems to like him too.

 Even when he picks her up!  He tends to do that a few times a day.

I am obsessed with our delicious eggs.  Actually I just really love how they look.  

 Fresh eggs anyone??

 Dane prefers to have Gunnar drive him around on his Gator.  Silly kid.
