Eric is spoiled...and we are too

Eric had 5 days off in a row after Christmas and we were really spoiled. We were able to work a lot on the house but we also had fun too. We took Dane to the beach and he loved playing in the sand.

Even though he is walking he still prefers to crawl. He is much faster and he needed to check out what Eric was doing in the sand.

What a cutie!

Eric's first day back at work was his birthday. We celebrated on Sunday with a Prime Rib dinner (Eric's favorite) and a candy cake.


I don't know who was more excited Eric or Dane. He wouldn't take his eyes off it. He now says nummy num when he wants food and he will say more. He kept saying more nummy num.

Hello chocolate beard!

We keep adding new words to Dane's list. He now says book, boat, sockies and shoes. He walks like the ground is moving under him. He is fast! He loves playing outside with his rake, shovel and truck. He will spend about 30 minutes taking his rake and shovel out of the bed of his truck and putting it on the ground. Then he will put it back in. This goes on and on. He is getting a molar and has been a bear. When Dane goes to bed I always put all his stuffed animals around him. He lays there perfectly still while I do it and always falls asleep with them still around him. Two of these animals are Marissa's. The bunny and the dog. When she saw this picture she was so happy that Dane was taking good care of him. She said the wiener dog was giving him a kiss.
