That all changed Saturday morning. The pain started out as back pain but moved to cramping. The pain only got worse and finally on Sunday we decided that I should head to the hospital. When I got there they hooked me up to the machines and I was having very large contractions. Baby Dane was doing great...but the contractions were not good! They ended up giving me a shot to control the contractions but it didn't work :( After a few tests they determined that I was not in preterm labor...thank goodness, and they sent me home.
Sunday night was horrible. I was having contractions about every 10 minutes and my legs were cramping really bad. We didn't sleep at all. I've never doubted Eric's skills as a husband/father but that night confirmed that I really picked a winner when I got him. That night he rubbed my back, rubbed my legs, held me when I was crying, walked around the house with me, and basically was there for me.
Monday morning I called my Dr and he wanted me to come right in. Eric and I packed up the car and headed home. At the Drs they hooked me up to the machines again. I was still having the contractions and baby was doing great. They decided to do an ultrasound to see if they could see anything wrong.
The ultra sound guy was great. He showed us everything there was to see on Dane. Dane looked like he was on all fours with his head to my right and his rear to my left. He was kicking downwards with alot of force! We were waiting for the Dr and he asked if there was anything else we wanted to see. I was like, "well could you tell us what color hair he has". We are of course hoping for a little redhead. He wasn't able to figure out the hair color but he did say that Dane already has alot of hair. He said that we should expect to have a baby with lots of hair!
When the Dr came in he discovered that I had a huge fibroid that was causing the contraction. He gave me a prescription for an anti inflammatory and the rest is history. I woke up this morning with no pain at all. What a complete 180! I can only take the meds for 2 days so fingers crossed that the fibroid shrinks up.
I have my 10 year high school reunion this next weekend and I was really worried I would end up on bed rest. I am just so amazed with modern medicine. Love meds love my Dr. Thanks everyone for all the prayers sent my way. This was very scary but you all helped me to get through it. Now baby Dane you need to stay where you are ok??

Looks like a bunch of marshmallows huh? We love him. He even smiled at us.

So glad you are doing better! We can't wait to meet Dane, but not this soon! :)
I am so sorry you had such a rough couple days. Luckily you have an awesome husband to support you through it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you've been through the drama and now the rest of your pregnancy will be smooth sailing.
So glad things are okay!! Take care of yourself and that baby! Have so much fun at your reunion!
Leah, I'm so glad everything turned out well. I would have never suspected you had any trouble during the week because you looked so good at the reunion.
