The first thing my mom and I worked on were cake pops. They are alot of work but sooo delicious. The stars of veggie tales are Larry the cucumber and Bob the tomato. You might notice that Bob is orange. We worked so hard to come up with red but could never get it right. There were no red candy melts so we had to go with orange. They were a real hit!

Next was our cheeseburger cake. We decided to go big with this. Why not right. It was so realistic that one of our friends (who only speaks Spanish) thought that it was really a giant cheeseburger.
Here is Marissa in front of our cakes, cake pops and centerpieces. Again so many projects so little time!
The birthday boy. We really can't believe that Dane is a year old.
Instead of doing a pinata we filled balloons with candy and had the kids poke them with a pin. I am really hoping that you can see that this is Bob and Larry. The kids didn't mind.
We also decorated gourds. They turned out really cute. We had alot of gourds from our garden. If only Dane would have been born in August we would have had a lot more veggies to decorate!
And now for the cake. Dane wasn't really too sure of what to do with this cheeseburger. He loved eating the "tomatoes and lettuce" on the side of the cake. They were sour candies and he loved them. Natalie and Delany really wanted to help Dane dig in.
Marissa helped Dane open his presents. This is one spoiled kid. He was really interested in the paper and eating bark. :)
Someone is really getting confidant with standing up and climbing. He loves getting on this bench and holding onto the window. Crazy kid. Oh and like all kids he is obsessed with balloons.
