Life will never be the same again...couldn't be happier!

Dane is one month old. Yup that is right....time sure has flown by. I can still recall being able to sleep as long as I wanted, whenever I wanted. The truth is I want nothing to do with my old life. Eric and I just love love love this baby boy. We will never forget our struggle with infertility and pain we experienced but honestly Dane healed in a second the years of pain that we felt. We are so lucky to have him.

As you can see he has a hold on us

Dane changes everyday. He is getting more and more alert. Although his days still consist of eating, diaper changes and sleeping he is starting to pay more and more attention to his surroundings. He for sure knows Eric's voice as well as mine. He loves his swing and his toy giraffe the cousin Britt have him. He hold tight to it which is a good thing because if his hands are free he will hit himself in the face. The other day I walked into his room and he was smacking himself in the face with his free hand. They are his worse enemy. We swaddle him up real tight for nap times.

I think he has more hair now then when he was born. I love to play with it when I am feeding him. He doesn't seem to mind. He likes that better than me picking at him. We have settled into a nice night time routine. I feed him around 9:30 (ending around 10:30). Eric takes him and puts him to bed (sometimes takes around 10-15 minutes...sometimes he goes right to sleep) Meanwhile I go to bed and hopefully fall asleep before he starts squeaking. Then he is up around 2 and then again at 5ish. He is in his own room now which is great. Tamara and Bryan bought us a video monitor and it is so nice. I can see him whenever I want to...I can even see his chest moving so I know he is breathing.

He snores...this last Sunday in church he was snoring away. No one seems to mind a snoring newborn. Dane sleeps with his mouth wide open...catching flies. I think he gets this from his Auntie Tamara. :)

He still has his pretty blue eyes...he is so handsome. Dane loves bath time. He gets a bath almost everyday due to the fact that his diapers just aren't able to contain all they should. We have had more than a few horror stories to peeing ever where...I wish I could say it was just pee!

I can't even picture my life any more perfect than it is right now. It is so wonderful to be home with him all the time. I love him more and more each day. Our lives have changed so much in the last month. We can't imagine our life without him. Getting him here involved so many people and we are so grateful to them.
Couldn't resist posting this picture
Happy one Month Dane! Thank you for being such a good baby!
